Be Here Day Feb 11

Aztec Municipal Schools is excited to celebrate Be Here Day – Pack the Bus on February 11, a districtwide effort focused on the importance of daily attendance and student engagement.

Regular attendance plays a critical role in student success. Being present each day helps students build strong routines, stay connected to their teachers and classmates, and fully participate in learning opportunities. Be Here Day encourages students, families, and schools to work together to make attendance a priority.

To celebrate, all students who are in attendance on February 11 will receive mini cinnamon rolls. Students are also encouraged to show their Aztec pride by wearing Aztec colors based on grade level:

  • Pre-K & Kindergarten: Black

  • 1st: White

  • 2nd: Grey

  • 3rd & 4th: Orange

  • 5th: Black

  • 6th: Orange

  • 7th: Black

  • 8th: White & Black

  • 9th: White

  • 10th: Black

  • 11th: Grey

  • 12th: Orange

Please note that Vista Nueva High School (VNHS) will not participate in the grade-level color theme but will take part in a schoolwide raffles.

In addition, classes and grade levels with the highest attendance percentages will earn special prizes on a later date. These rewards may include extended recess or lunch periods, pizza parties, and other celebrations, reinforcing the positive impact of strong attendance.

Aztec Municipal Schools encourages families to support Be Here Day by ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn. Together, we can Pack the Bus and show that attendance matters.
